Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?+
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely is recommended, as assessment sometimes involves movement testing.
Do I need to bring MRI/X-ray reports?+
If you have any relevant scans or medical reports, it's helpful to bring them, but they are not required to book a first appointment.
Do I need a GP referral?+
No — you can book an appointment with a chiropractor directly, without needing a referral from your GP.
Will I be adjusted on the first visit?+
Only where clinically appropriate, and only after your assessment findings and treatment options have been explained and you're happy to proceed.
Does treatment hurt?+
Most patients find treatment comfortable. You may occasionally feel mild soreness afterwards, similar to light exercise, but treatment should not be painful.
How many appointments will I need?+
This varies from person to person depending on your condition and how you respond to treatment. Following your assessment, we'll discuss a realistic plan with you.
Can someone attend with me?+
Yes, you're welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment.
Is there parking?+
There is parking near the clinic at 18 Coxhill Way, inside RGA Bucks. If you need specific directions, please call us before your visit.
What accessibility support is available?+
If you have specific accessibility needs, please let us know in advance so we can help you plan your visit.
What happens if chiropractic is not appropriate for me?+
If, following assessment, chiropractic care isn't the right fit, we'll explain why and, where appropriate, point you towards other options or professionals who may be able to help.
